Natore: Distribution of agricultural inputs, including seeds and chemical fertilizers, has officially commenced for 4,000 farmers in Singra upazila of the district under the Aush Incentive Program. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Rifat inaugurated the programme today at the Upazila Agriculture hall room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, senior officials, including Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Engineer Md. Khalilur Rahman, and Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mithun Kundu, attended the event. The program was chaired by Singra Upazila Agriculture Officer Khandaker Farid Hasan. The speakers emphasized the government’s commitment to boosting agriculture and supporting farmers through initiatives like waiving agricultural loan interest, distributing agricultural cards, and conducting canal excavation projects to improve crop production.
Under the program, each farmer will receive 5 kg of Aush paddy seeds and 10 kg of DAP and MOP fertilizers free of cost. These inputs are intended to support the cultivation of Aush paddy on one bigha land. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and support farmers in the region.
