Barishal: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated candidate for Barishal Sadar-5 constituency, Advocate Mojibor Rahman Sarwar, today issued a stern warning that any efforts to disrupt the upcoming national election would incite another revolution in the country.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sarwar emphasized the nation’s eagerness to participate in the electoral process. He accused allies of the autocratic regime of plotting to undermine the election, cautioning, “The people of the country are eagerly waiting to cast their votes. But the allies of the autocrats are conspiring to thwart the election. I want to warn the autocrats that if there is any attempt to foil the election, another revolution will take place.”

Sarwar’s remarks were delivered during a rally held in front of the BNP office on Sadar Road in Barishal. The event, organized by the district and city units to commemorate the National Revolution and Solidarity Day, saw Sarwar urging party leaders and activists to maintain unity and remain active on the ground. He stressed the importance of securing the victory of the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol to restore the people’s voting rights.

The rally concluded with a vibrant procession, led by Barishal Metropolitan BNP Convener Moniruzzaman Khan Faruk, which traversed the main streets of the city before culminating at Band Road.
