Bappi Sarkar of Bangladesh sharing the 3rd slot along with other three players in the Visually Impaired Open Group of the Asian Online Chess Championships for Players with Disabilities securing two points after the 3rd round matches being held on the online chess platform Tornello on Saturday..

Syed Ejaz Husain of Bangladesh earned one point from three games.

In the Women’s Group, Shormi Roy and Marufa Azad Sukanna of Bangladesh earned one point each after the three matches.

The 2nd and 3rd round matches were held on today (Saturday).

In the 2nd round, Sukanna beat Banisaeid Somayeh of Iran, Bappi lost to Redor Menandro of Philippines, Ejaz lost to Le AnhKiet Pham of Vitenam and Shormy lost to Karishri of India.

In 3rd round: Bappi beat Delgerdalai Gan-Ochir of Mongolia, Ejaz lost to Redor Menandro of Philippines, Shormy lost to Siti Safura Jaafar of Malaysia and Sukanna lost to Angot Cheryl of Philippines.

The 4th round matches will be held tomorrow (Sunday) from 5 pm (Bangladeshi time).
