Dhaka: A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against Tulip Siddiq, the niece of ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain, a former assistant legal adviser of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha. The warrant is in connection with a case related to the alleged illegal acquisition of a flat from a private developer in Gulshan-2.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Judge Md Sabbir Faiz of the Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Court sanctioned the arrest after accepting a charge sheet filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The court has scheduled March 8 as the date for submitting a report on the execution of the arrest order, as confirmed by ACC public prosecutor Mir Ahammed Salam.

The ACC initiated the case on April 15, 2025, against Tulip, Mosharraf, and his colleague Shah Md Khasruzzaman, alleging that they had illegally acquired a flat from Eastern Housing Limited. The case documents claim that the accused conspired to abuse their power to obtain Flat No B/201, House No: 5A and 5B (old), presently 113 and 11B (new), Road No 71, without any payment and subsequently registered it.

The charge sheet against Tulip Siddiq and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain was filed by the ACC on December 11, 2025.
