The Bangladesh Army has successfully rescued six rubber plantation workers who were abducted in the Lama upazila of Bandarban district. The operation was carried out by multiple army patrol teams in a swift response to the abduction.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rescue operation took place on April 23 when army personnel launched an immediate mission in the Hatirdera area under Tongkabti union of Lama upazila. The abductors fled the scene upon sensing the presence of the army, leaving the victims behind, who were then safely rescued by the patrol team.

The rescued workers are set to be reunited with their families after the completion of necessary legal procedures, as confirmed by the ISPR. The local police station has been informed about the incident to proceed with further actions.
