Cox’s Bazar: Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman recently visited the 10 Infantry Division and the Cox’s Bazar area on November 17 and 18. During his visit, he laid the foundation stone for two new residential buildings, ‘Senaneer’ and ‘Swapnachura’, at the Ramu Cantonment. These projects aim to alleviate the accommodation issues faced by Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), officers, and other ranks of army personnel, as stated in a release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) this evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the wife of the army chief, Begum Sarahnaz Kamalika Zaman, also participated in the events. She inaugurated ‘Proyash’, a specialized educational institution at the Ramu Cantonment in Cox’s Bazar, as the chief guest. Furthermore, she unveiled the new plaque for ‘Shaheed Lieutenant Tanzim Cantonment Public School and College’, which was previously known as ‘Ramu Cantonment Public School and College’.

The event was attended by senior military officers from Army Headquarters and Ramu Cantonment, family members of the martyred Lt. Tanzim, JCOs, soldiers from other ranks, as well as civil and military officers, employees, teachers, and students from ‘Shaheed Lt. Tanzim Cantonment Public School and College’.
