Army Chief Urges Voters to Participate in Election Without Fear

Dhaka: Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has called on voters to participate in the ongoing election process without any apprehension, expressing confidence in the fairness and freedom of the electoral proceedings. He emphasized the significance of the day for the nation, highlighting the anticipation surrounding the election.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the Army Chief made these remarks after casting his vote at 10:24 am at the Science Building of Adamjee Cantonment College. He encouraged citizens to leave their homes and head to polling stations, portraying the day as a momentous occasion for the country.



General Waker-Uz-Zaman noted the peaceful atmosphere prevailing across the nation since the morning, affirming that the conditions were conducive for voters to exercise their rights. He shared that he had received updates about the situation throughout Bangladesh, indicating that the election was proceeding smoothly.



The Army Chief also acknowledged the role of media professionals in keeping the public informed about the election environment. He pointed out that the media’s efforts reassured the public, motivating them to participate in the voting process. He expressed hope for the successful completion of the election, reinforcing his belief in a fair and transparent electoral process.
