Dhaka: Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman left Dhaka for Japan on Wednesday on a four-day official visit to attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games.
According to United News of Bangladesh, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, who is also the president of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, will be present at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. His presence underscores the significance of the event for Bangladesh as well as the collaboration between the participating nations.
During his visit, General Waker-Uz-Zaman is scheduled to attend various sporting events of the Asian Games. This engagement offers him an opportunity to witness the performances of athletes from Bangladesh and other countries, fostering sporting camaraderie and international goodwill.
