London: The final match of the Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Trust Cricket Tournament-2025 was held at Seven Kings Park in London today (Tuesday). Cumilla Warriors emerged as champions by defeating Mymensingh Gladiators in a competitive showdown.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this year saw participation from eight teams representing eight divisions. The tournament commemorates the late Arafat Koko, a noted sports organizer who contributed significantly to the development of Bangladeshi cricket on the international stage. This annual event has been held for the past ten years in his memory.
Several prominent figures attended the final, including UK BNP president and chairperson’s Advisor MA Malik, former senior vice president Abdul Hamid Chowdhury, joint secretary Khasruzzaman Khasru, joint general secretary Asaduzzaman, former senior joint secretary Shahidul Islam Mamun, and Narsingdi district BNP general secretary Monjur Elahi. Other notable attendees included Swechhasebak Dal general secretary Abul Hossain and distinguished guests.
The tournament was organized by Shahrfaraz Ahmed Shorfur, Faruk Hossain, Fazle Rahman Pinak, Ariful Islam Uzzal, Sheikh Sadek, Tuhin Mollah, Daliya Binte Lakuria, Jahangir Alam Shimu, Abdus Samad Raj, Fahidul Alam, Shafiul Alam Murad, Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, Kajol Jalani, Faisal Ahmed, Dipu Ahmed, Rana Talukder, Masudul Alam, Kazi Faisal, and Atiq Ahmed, among others.
