Jhenaidah:Mishon Acharya, a 30-year-old master's graduate, is facing delays in his appointment as a government primary school teacher due to complications with his permanent address.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Mishon, who completed his degrees in Finance and Banking at Islamic University, passed the recruitment exam for assistant teachers. Despite being recommended for the position, the Jhenaidah District Primary Education Office has withheld his appointment letter, citing legal issues related to his permanent address.

Out of 182 candidates from Jhenaidah, 180 have received their appointment letters. Mishon's difficulties began in childhood when his father left his mother, Moyna Acharya, to raise him and his brother alone. Moyna supported Mishon's education despite financial hardships, working as a domestic helper in Jhenaidah town.

Mishon's national identity card and educational certificates list the address of their rented home in Kalabagan, confirmed by a police investigation. However, his appointment is delayed because he lacks a permanent address. Although Mishon owns land in Panditpur village, financial constraints have prevented him from building a house there.

The issue has gained attention on social media and among his peers. Friend Jihad Hossain, who received his appointment, described the situation as unfair. Jhenaidah District Primary Education Officer Mohammad Amzad Hossain stated the matter requires a decision from the Directorate of Primary Education.

Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Md Noman Hossain mentioned efforts to resolve the issue, hoping for a reasonable solution soon.
