Members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Friday detained a man with 6 gold bars and some gold jewelleries — weighing 1kg — at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The detainee has been identified as Hossain Mahmood, 29, son of Md Noor Nabi of Baroia village in Feni.

Acting on a tip-off, an intelligence team of the Airport Armed Police intercepted Mahmood at the parking area of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this noon, said Airport Armed Police Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ziaul Haque.
Law enforcers also seized three laptops and 2 iPhones from his possession worth around Tk 2.6 lakh, he added.
A case was filed in this regard, said the ASP.
