Rupsha: BNP's central Information Affairs Secretary Azizul Bari Helal has stated that anti-democratic forces are allegedly conspiring to cancel the upcoming general election by instigating anarchy. He made these comments during a women's gathering in the Nandonpur area of Rupsha upazila on Sunday night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was organized by the Rupsha Upazila unit of Jatiotabadi Mohila Dal, chaired by Unit President Morzina Begum. Helal emphasized the critical role of women in the forthcoming election, describing them as the light-bearers of society. He urged women to disseminate BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's 31-point proposals to the public.
Helal further asserted that the BNP is committed to ensuring women's participation in the nation's social and economic development. He promised that if the party secures power through the people's vote, women would be granted ownership of the 'Family Card.'
Earlier, Helal attended another meeting at Aichgati union of the upazila. Addressing recent incidents involving sabotage and arson, he drew parallels to the chaos experienced during the signing of the July National Charter. He warned of a similar ongoing attempt to destabilize the country through systematic arson and called for an investigation to identify those responsible for these acts.
