Anisul urges all to be careful against anti-liberation force

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today urged all to be aware of anti-liberation forces so that they cannot raise their heads in the country.

"Everyone should always be alert and aware, so that the ghosts of the anti-liberation evil forces of Ghulam Azam-Nizami-Muzahidi cannot rise again," he said.

The minister said this while addressing a seminar on 'Buddhist Family Law: Our Expectations' organized by the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust at the International Mother Language Institute's auditorium in the capital, a press release said.

President's Office Secretary Wahad Barua presented the keynote paper in the seminar, the release added.

He said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman worked tirelessly throughout his life with the goal of building a happy-prosperous non-socialist Sonar Bangla.

Under the charismatic leadership of his illustrious daughter, pro-people leader and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is now globally recognized and respected as a model country of communal harmony.

He said that the anti-independence forces carried out various conspiracies and activities in the past to destroy the communal harmony of Bangladesh.

But with the bold and visionary steps of the people's leader Sheikh Hasina and the cooperation of people of all religions, castes and classes, it has been possible to tackle it strictly, he continued.

Noting that, Muslim family law for people of Islamic religion, Hindu family law for people of Hindu religion and Christian religious law for people of Christian religion are prevalent in Bangladesh, Anisul said but it is a matter of concern that there is no family law for people of 'Somotolio Buddhism' in Bangladesh.

The minister assured of providing all kinds of cooperation in the formulation of Buddhist family law.
