Lakshmipur: BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today declared that no individual will be exempt from consequences if found engaging in criminal activities such as extortion and tender rigging under the guise of the party's identity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Anee emphasized that criminal activities utilizing the party's identity will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Addressing a BNP council at the Lakshmipur district outdoor stadium, he asserted that strict organizational actions would be implemented against those involved in such unlawful acts.
Anee further highlighted that certain groups are attempting to disrupt the upcoming election scheduled for February, but reassured that these conspiracies will be confronted collectively. He underscored that the national elections are the primary focus for BNP, echoing the advice of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for party leaders and activists to connect with every household through unified teamwork.
During the event, Anee mentioned the ongoing execution of the 31-point directives issued by Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The council was attended by notable figures including former Secretary Ismail Jobi Ullah, who was present as the chief guest, and Sadar Upazila East BNP President Main Uddin Chowdhury Riaz, who presided over the gathering.
Other prominent attendees included BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's Advisory Council member and former MP from Lakshmipur-2 constituency Abul Khair Bhuiyan, central BNP leader Ashraf Uddin Nijan, VP Harunur Rashid, district BNP Member Secretary Shahabuddin Sabu, district BNP Joint Convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman, district BNP leader and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Vice-President Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, district BNP leader Advocate Hafizur Rahman, Advocate Harunur Rashid Bepari, and BNP's municipality unit president Rezaul Karim Liton.
