Barishal: A delegation on behalf of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today met families of several martyrs of the July-August students-people uprising in Barishal, Patuakhali, Bhola, Jhalakathi, Barguna, and Pirojpur districts. On behalf of Tarique Rahman, a delegation of "Amra BNP Paribar" led by BNP Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed met the families of the martyrs. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the delegation extended sympathy and provided financial assistance to the families on behalf of Tarique Rahman. The visiting group included members Masud Rana Litan, Mustakim Billah, Shakil Ahmed, and Shadat Hossain. Key BNP figures such as assistant organizing secretaries Akan Quddusur Rahman and Mahmudul Alam Nanu, BNP Barishal district unit convener Abul Hossain Khan, and member secretary Advocate Abul Kalam Shahin were also present. Additionally, BNP Barishal city unit convener Maniruzzaman Faruque, member secretary Ziauddin Shikdar, joint convener Afr oza Khanam Nasrin, BNP Pirojpur district unit convener principal Alamgir Hossain, and Barishal district unit former president Abaidul Haque Chan were part of the delegation, with organization convener Atiqur Rahman Ruman presiding over the meeting.
