Dhaka: Dr Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Opposition Leader in Parliament, is set to participate in a series of Eid-ul-Fitr activities on Saturday. The day will commence with Dr Rahman offering the holy Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at 8:00 am at the Monipur Girls’ High School ground, located beside the 60 Feet Road in Mirpur.
According to United News of Bangladesh, following the prayers, Dr Rahman will engage in exchanging Eid greetings with people from all walks of life, as indicated in a media statement. This initiative highlights his efforts to connect with the general public during the festive occasion.
Later in the day, Dr Rahman is scheduled to engage with diplomats stationed in Dhaka. The session is planned from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, offering a platform for exchanging greetings with the international community. Subsequently, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, he will extend his greetings to political leaders and individuals from various segments of society at his government residence on Minto Road.
