Algerian Ambassador Engages with Bangladesh IGP on Key Security Issues

Dhaka: Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani today paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir. The meeting took place this morning at the Police Headquarters, as conveyed in a press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, the Algerian Ambassador congratulated the newly appointed IGP. Discussions covered key issues such as irregular migration, human trafficking, and enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police in various security-related fields. Other matters of mutual interest were also addressed.



The IGP expressed appreciation for Algeria’s willingness to cooperate in boosting the capabilities of the Bangladesh Police. He underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration between the police forces of the two nations.



Senior officers of the Bangladesh Police attended the meeting. At the conclusion, both parties expressed optimism for more robust and productive cooperation in the future.
