Dhaka: The government has appointed retired Joint Secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad as the Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on a contractual basis for a duration of one year. This decision was announced through a notification issued by the Public Administration Ministry.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Alauddin Al Azad’s appointment comes under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018. The notification specifies that he must relinquish any professional, business, or employment associations with government, semi-government, or private institutions or organizations to assume this role.
His contractual term as Secretary will commence from the date of his joining and is set for a period of one year. The notification further mentioned that other terms and conditions concerning this appointment will be outlined in the contract agreement.
