Rajshahi: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has accused the Awami League of utilizing looted funds to instigate chaos nationwide. He asserted that money misappropriated from significant national projects such as Bangladesh Bank, Padma Bridge, and various flyovers is being wielded by the ruling party to foster a climate of terror. Rizvi further alleged that Sheikh Hasina is disseminating video messages to incite terrorism.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rizvi made these remarks while addressing a discussion meeting at Rajshahi University (RU) to commemorate the 50 years of National Revolution and Solidarity Day. The event was held at the TSCC Auditorium, where Rizvi emphasized the BNP's dedication to democracy, stating that the party is synonymous with democratic principles. He highlighted the contributions of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman in establishing multi-party democracy and noted that Tarique Rahman is actively working to restore the public's voting rights.
Rizvi elaborated on the significance of November 7, describing it as a date that symbolizes national unity and democratic consciousness. He recalled how under Ziaur Rahman's leadership, democratic forces initiated a transformative chapter in the nation's history. Rizvi affirmed the BNP's commitment to imparting Ziaur Rahman's ideals to future generations.
The meeting also featured an address by Nasir Uddin, General Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhtra Dal, who served as the focal person. The event witnessed considerable participation from RU teachers, students, officers, and employees.
