Awami League leader Tushar Kanti Mondal was taken on a four-day police remand in connection with the jewellery shop employee Muslim Uddin Milon murder case today.
Sub-Inspector Rasel Miah, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced Tushar before the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) here Md Asaduzzaman with a prayer for granting his 10 days police remand. The court after hearing the statements of the prosecution side granted his four days police remand.
With today’s remand, Tushar was taken to remand for interrogation for three times.
On September 29, Tushar Kanti was sent to jail after ending his four days police remand in connection with businessman Merajul Islam murder case.
Earlier, he was taken seven days police remand in connection with Abdullah Al Tahir murder case.
A total of 11 cases were lodged against Tushar Kanti Mondal for his alleged involvement in several killings during the anti-discrimination students’ movement in different areas of Rangpur.
