Gaibandha: Police arrested Advocate Faruk Ahmed Prince, the law affairs secretary of the Awami League’s district unit, from his residence at Sarker Para in the town on Thursday night. Advocate Prince is implicated as one of the unidentified accused in a case related to the alleged arson attack on the BNP’s party office during the 2024 July Uprising.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sadar Thana Police Station officer-in-charge Shahinul Islam Talukder stated that based on intelligence, a police team conducted a raid on Advocate Prince’s home on Thursday night, resulting in his detention. The arrest is part of ongoing investigations into the incident, which has been a significant point of tension between the political parties involved.
