Dhaka: Prime Minister's Adviser on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Rehan Asif Asad today emphasized the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in Bangladesh's pursuit of becoming a trillion-dollar economy by 2034. "We firmly believe in the potential of Bangladesh's digital economy and its role in driving the country's next phase of growth. As we work towards our ambition of building a trillion-dollar economy by 2034, the role of AI cannot be overlooked," he stated.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rehan Asif Asad made these remarks while addressing an event at GP House, where he announced the launch of "OneAI" on Grameenphone's MyGP app. The adviser acknowledged AI's transformative impact on global economies, industries, and societies and stressed the importance of Bangladesh embracing this technology to ensure progress.

Rehan Asif Asad expressed his encouragement towards Grameenphone's initiative in making AI accessible through OneAI. He highlighted the platform's potential to provide affordable AI tools for students, aiding in learning, research, and skill development. The adviser anticipates that such initiatives will speed up AI adoption and contribute significantly to Bangladesh's digital transformation.

The event saw attendance from Grameenphone Chief Executive Officer Yasir Azman, the Grameenphone Management Team, and employees. Sabirul Haque, Managing Director of OneAI Limited, was also present as Grameenphone launched OneAI, integrating multiple AI models and tools into the MyGP app.

OneAI aims to simplify the usage of advanced AI tools for everyday users by unifying leading AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, and Gemini onto a single platform. This initiative eliminates the need to manage multiple AI services separately, allowing users to leverage AI for various needs, including learning, content creation, coding, and more.

Yasir Azman described the launch as a significant step in Grameenphone's AI journey, with AI becoming a fundamental part of the company's operations and customer experiences. Grameenphone users can now access OneAI through the MyGP app, with options to purchase packages using their mobile balance.
