Dhaka:Ahsan Habib has been officially appointed as the secretary of the Internal Resources Division (IRD) and the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR). This appointment is on deputation under the 10 percent quota of the President.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification today regarding this appointment. The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Jeti Pru and emphasized that the appointment is effective immediately in the public interest.
The notification further mentioned that Ahsan Habib, who was previously serving as the acting secretary of the IRD and acting chairman of the NBR, will return to his own cadre before retirement.
