Jhenaidah: The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) today distributed jute seeds and fertilizer under the "Agricultural Incentive Programme" among 800 farmers in Sadar upazila to increase jute production in the Kharif-1 season here. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Razia Akhter Chowdhury distributed the incentives among the farmers at a function held at the Upazila Parishad (UP) premises this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, each of the farmers received one kilogram of high yielding variety jute seeds, five kilograms of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer, and five kilograms of Muriate of Potash (MO) fertilizer. Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Noor A Nabi presided over the function, while Additional Agriculture Officer Muhammad Junaid Habib was present.
