Patuakhali: Distribution of seeds, saplings, and chemical fertilizer has commenced in Kalapara upazila of the district. Agriculture incentives will be distributed among 6,000 small and marginal farmers and organizations in the area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kalapara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Rabiul Islam formally inaugurated the distribution program at the Upazila Agriculture Office premises this morning. The initiative aims to support the agricultural sector by providing essential resources to local farmers.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Arafat Hossain, Kalapara Press Club General Secretary SM Mosharraf Hossain Mintu, and other dignitaries were present during the event. Arafat Hossain stated that seeds, saplings, and chemical fertilizers were distributed among 200 small and marginal farmers and several organizations today under the agricultural incentive program.
Additionally, palm and coconut saplings were distributed to various organizations. Farmers received a variety of seedlings, including Ufshi Aman, Lemon, Mango, Neem, Bell, Jam, and Jackfruit, along with hybrid pepper and Ufshi vegetable seeds. This distribution is part of a broader effort to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region.
