Affordable Milk, Eggs, and Meat Sale Launched in Tangail

Tangail: A programme to sell milk, eggs, and meat at affordable prices has been launched in Tangail ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, organized by the District Livestock Department, was inaugurated today at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park in Tangail town by State Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, and Food Sultan Salauddin Tuku.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sultan Salauddin Tuku, while addressing the inaugural ceremony, stated that the program aims to enable low-income people to buy essential protein sources at reasonable prices and to help stabilize the market during Ramadan. He emphasized that this initiative will gradually be extended to all districts of the country so that everyone can meet their dietary protein needs.



Furthermore, the State Minister assured that the government will take maximum steps to support the most vulnerable and impoverished people at the grassroots level. The event was chaired by Tangail Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque and was also addressed by Director of Artificial Insemination at the Department of Livestock Shahjaman Khan Tuhin and President of the Tangail District BNP Hasanuzzamil Shaheen, among others.
