Dhaka: Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir on Wednesday urged the Maldives to further expand employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in the island nation. He made the request during a courtesy call from Maldives High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiuneen Rasheed at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the meeting between the adviser and the high commissioner focused on enhancing multilateral and bilateral engagements between the Maldives and Bangladesh. Both parties explored opportunities to further strengthen the existing ties between the two countries.
The discussions also covered various issues of common interest, emphasizing the need to increase mutual cooperation in fields such as tourism, human resources, and investment.
