Rangpur: Adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Agriculture Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) is arriving here on a one-day visit tomorrow. This information has been provided in a letter signed by the private secretary to the adviser, Mohammad Moniruzzaman Bakaul, and a press note issued by the Rangpur Regional PID Office here this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser will join the 'Law and order meeting for smooth conduct of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election and Referendum, 2026' as the chief guest at the conference room of the Rangpur Divisional Commissioner's Office at 11:50 am. Attendees for this meeting will include the Divisional Commissioner, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Rangpur Range DIG, Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, Regional Election Officer, District Election Officers, Upazila Nirbahi Officers, Officers-in-Charge of Thanas, and officials from the Armed Forces Division, Rapid Action Battalion, Border Guard Bangladesh, and Ansar-VDP from all over the Rangpur division.
On that day, the adviser is scheduled to leave Rangpur at 1:55 pm to inspect the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Pabna district, the press note added.
