Maheshkhali:The transfer of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) from cargo vessels to floating storage regasification units has been disrupted by adverse weather, leading to a reduction in the supply of regasified LNG and overall gas supply.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) issued a press release on Thursday acknowledging that the disruption caused a slight decrease in gas supply below normal levels.
Petrobangla expressed regret over the temporary inconvenience, attributing it to 'unavoidable circumstances.' The corporation assured that gas supply would return to normal once weather conditions in the Bay of Bengal improve.
