Adilur Rahman Khan Highlights Growth Potential in Automobiles, Agro-Machinery, and Light Engineering

Tejgaon: Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan emphasized the promising future of the automobile, agro-machinery, and light engineering sectors, noting their significant role in the country’s economic development during the inauguration of the ‘Automobile and Agro-machineries Fair-2025-Road to Made in Bangladesh’.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khan highlighted that these sectors are crucial for expanding exports, creating jobs, and fostering overall economic growth. He addressed this while opening the two-day event at Tejgaon, asserting that the fair would bolster investor confidence and pave the way for new business opportunities.



Khan stressed the importance of establishing the ‘Made in Bangladesh Brand’ as a global standard, which requires growth in production-oriented industries, technological advancements, research, innovation, and the development of skilled manpower.



Md Obaidur Rahman, Secretary to the Industries Ministry, serving as a special guest, reiterated the sectors’ vital contribution to national development. He mentioned the ministry’s ongoing efforts to industrialize the nation and cultivate skilled human resources.



The event, chaired by Bangladesh Chamber of Industries President Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury Parvez, featured key figures, including SME Foundation Managing Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, agriculture-technology entrepreneurs Alumuzzaman Chowdhury and Abdur Razzak, and Dr. M Masrur Reaz, who presented the keynote paper.



After the inauguration, Adviser Khan visited various stalls and engaged with entrepreneurs, further underlining the fair’s importance in enhancing industry relations and knowledge exchange.
