Accused Arrested in Connection with Khulna Triple Murder Case

Khulna: Khulna police arrested Bismillah, also known as Bismillah Sheikh, 35, in connection with the high-profile triple murder at Darbesh Molla Goli in Tutpara under Labanchara Police Station. He was taken into custody around 11:30 pm on Monday from the Darogar Bosti area of Tutpara. Bismillah was also a convicted fugitive, carrying an outstanding two-year imprisonment warrant filed with Khulna Police Station.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge of Khulna Police Station, Md Kabir Hossain, stated that the arrest followed a police raid based on secret information about Bismillah’s whereabouts. Md Yusuf Ali, Investigating Officer of the triple murder case and OC (Investigation) of Labanchara Police Station, highlighted that several accused, including the prime planner Shamim Ahmed, had mentioned Bismillah’s name in their confessional statements under Section 164.



Md Yusuf Ali further explained that Bismillah would be formally shown as arrested in the triple murder case and taken on remand. During previous interrogations, he provided important leads related to the case. He also mentioned that the charge sheet in the case would be submitted soon.
