ACC Chairman Highlights Commitment to a Corruption-Free Bangladesh

Chuadanga: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen today emphasized that the commission’s top priority is to establish a corruption-free Bangladesh. ‘The foremost duty of government officials and employees is to serve the public.Our collective goal should be to build a nation free from corruption,’ he stated.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ACC chairman made these remarks at the 188th public hearing of the Anti-Corruption Commission at the Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner’s Sahittya Manch. The event, held under the slogan ‘Let’s build a country together, a corruption-free Bangladesh,’ was a joint effort by the ACC’s Jhenaidah office, the Chuadanga District Administration, and the District Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee.



Dr Momen stressed that the fight against corruption is not solely the responsibility of the commission but should be a people’s movement. ‘The more public involvement increases, the faster it will be possible to build a corruption-free Bangladesh,’ he asserted. He also called upon the residents of Chuadanga to take an active role in combating corruption in their district.



During the hearing, Dr Momen listened attentively to each complaint presented. The event was chaired by Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahirul Islam, with Khulna Divisional ACC Director Jalal Uddin Ahmed delivering the welcome speech.



The gathering also featured speeches from ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Mia Mohammad Ali Akbar Azizi, Director General Akhter Hossain, and Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Jamal Al Naser. Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioners Ahmed Mahbub Ul Islam and Nayan Kumar Rajbangshi, Upazila Nirbahi Officers from four upazilas, heads of various government departments, members of the District Corruption Prevention Committee, journalists, and locals.
