Kishorganj: Azimuddin Alo Football Academy emerged champions in the Academy Cup Football competition, defeating Bangram Football Academy in the final match held at the Kishorganj district stadium, as announced in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kishoreganj District Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mejabe Rahmat formally inaugurated the event as the chief guest. The competition was organized by the Kishoreganj District Sports Office under the annual sports program of the Sports Department.
Sixty players from the district participated in the four-team competition. Following the day-long event, thirty talented players were selected for further opportunities. Kishoreganj District Sports Officer Al-Amin stated that the selected players would be provided with 20-day training.
A training camp is set to begin on April 17 for these selected players. Four standout players will have the chance to be chosen for the Dhaka divisional competition of the Sports Department’s Development Cup Football tournament. Successful participants may also have the opportunity to join the beach soccer tournament, he added.
