AC Mechanic Dies After Falling From Building in Dhaka

Dhaka: A young man died after falling from the sixth floor of a building while repairing an air conditioner in the Nabinagar area of Kamrangirchar in the capital on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Md Rabiul, 24, an AC mechanic employed by Walton. Rabiul, son of Mizanur Rahman, hailed from Kashimpur village under Hajiganj Police Station in Chandpur. He lived with his family in the Kamrangirchar area.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the victim’s cousin Rahat stated that Rabiul was repairing an AC unit in a six-storey building in Kamrangirchar around noon when he accidentally fell and sustained serious injuries. He was first taken to a local hospital. Later, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment, where doctors on duty at the emergency department declared him dead.



Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the police camp at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue and the matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
