Chattogram: People of all strata as well as BNP leaders and workers of Chattogram have been waiting eagerly to have a glimpse and bid a farewell forever to their popular and beloved leader Abdullah Al Noman who breathed last at his Dhanmondi residence in the capital early morning today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP city unit leaders said several thousand party leaders and supporters as well as other political parties, well-wishers, and admirers of Abdullah Al Noman from far-flung areas of greater Chattogram are expected to join the Janaza to be held in the city.
Saayed Al Noman Babu, the only son of the late Abdullah Al Noman, told BSS that they are waiting for the arrival of his elder sister, the only daughter of Noman, from the USA, who is expected to reach Dhaka on Thursday morning.
Babu mentioned that, as per the family decision, his father’s Namaz-e-Janaza in Chattogram will be held at Zamiatul Falah Mosque ground in the city after Jumma prayers on next Friday. Later, he will be laid to eternal rest at the family graveyard after another Janaza following Asr prayers at their ancestral village of Gahira under Raozan upazila in the district.
