Abdul Hafiz Asks to Complete Dhaka-Ashulia Expressway Project

Dhaka: Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defense and National Integration Development, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Hafiz, instructed the officials concerned to complete the remaining work of the Dhaka-Ashulia expressway project within the stipulated time. He issued this directive during his visit to various sections of the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway and the ramps of Tongi Flyover, which are part of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in the city.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abdul Hafiz later held discussions with officials, reviewing the construction progress of a bus ramp from Mohakhali Bus Terminal, the elevated expressway from BFDC gate to Kutubkhali section, and the elevated expressway from Ashulia to the airport. The discussions also covered the remaining work on the ramp at Abdullahpur point of Tongi flyover and road repairs under the BRT project at Abdullahpur, Azampur, and Airport Road (Uttara) areas.



The meeting was attended by Secretary of Bridges Division and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bridges Authority Mohammad Abdur Rouf, Chief Engineer of Bangladesh Bridge Authority, directors of various projects, and officials from the Road Transport and Highways Department, Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority, Dhaka Bus Rapid Transit PLC, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Traffic), among others.
