Bogura: Abdul Based and Abdul Matin Mondal have been elected as the president and general secretary, respectively, of the Bogura unit of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Ainjibi Forum (BJAF). The elections took place during the biennial conference held at the Bogura Zilla Parishad Auditorium on Sunday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a significant turnout was witnessed as 328 out of 359 registered voters participated in the election process. The conference also saw Advocate A.K.M. Fazlul Haque being elected as the senior vice-president, Advocate A.B.M. Saiful Islam Shimul as the joint secretary, and Advocate Shafiqul Islam Shafiq as the organizing secretary of the unit.
The event was graced by BJAF Secretary General Barrister Kayser Kamal, who attended as the chief guest. The conference was presided over by Advocate A.K.M. Mahbubur Rahman, Adviser to the BNP Chairperson and Convener of the Biennial Conference Preparatory Committee. In attendance as special guests were BJAF Organizing Secretary Advocate Kamrul Islam Sajal and Assistant Organizing Secretary Barrister Mahfuzul Haque Milon.
