Daganbhuiyan: Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo today highlighted the necessity for the younger generation to adapt to the rapidly changing society. "Consequently, our children will also undergo changes. We must adapt to these societal shifts and prepare our children for those," he declared during a reception ceremony held at the auditorium of Ataturk Govt Model High School in Daganbhuiyan, Feni.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ceremony was organized by the Daganbhuiyan Upazila administration to honor meritorious students who achieved GPA-5 in this year's SSC, Dakhil, and vocational examinations. In his address, Mintoo underscored the importance of embracing new technological innovations, noting that more advancements are imminent. He stressed the role of guardians in ensuring that the new generation is equipped to navigate these societal changes effectively, saying, "We must adapt to this; we want to evolve."

Mintoo also emphasized that it is primarily the duty of guardians to guide their children in adapting to societal changes, with teachers playing a subsequent role. "We have students here who achieved GPA-5, but I also welcome those who did not achieve it or who failed," he stated, encouraging students who performed poorly not to despair but to continue their efforts if they wish to change their trajectory.

The event was presided over by Feni Deputy Commissioner Mahbubul Karim, where 160 students were honored. District Education Officer Md Shafi Ullah attended as a special guest, while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Shahidul Islam delivered the welcome address.
