Abducted mother, daughter found dead in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered the bodies of a woman and her child, who were allegedly kidnapped from Padua area in Cumilla three days ago, from Cox's Bazaar town last night. The victims are Arifa Akhter, 25, wife of Tanveer, and her three-year old daughter Tanisha Islam Anha, hailed from Ashoktola area in Sadar upazila of the district. On information, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Shoikotpara area around 9:30 pm in the town last night and recovered their bodies, Md Kalam Chowdhury, assistant director (Law and Media) of RAB-15, said here today. Arifa's family members had lodged a General Diary (GD) with Cumilla Sadar Dakshin Thana on the day they went missing. "Nobody was arrested till now.
