Dhaka: Newly appointed civil aviation and tourism adviser A F Hasan Arif today urged officials to work with utmost sincerity and patriotism to transform Bangladesh into a regional aviation hub and an attractive tourist destination. He made the call during a meeting with ministry officials at the Secretariat on his first day in office this afternoon. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Arif emphasized the need to improve service quality at airports, enhance passenger services at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, and maintain flight schedules. He also highlighted the importance of developing key tourist attractions into popular destinations and taking necessary steps to launch international flights from Cox's Bazar Airport. Arif underlined the necessity of working with honesty and dedication, upholding the spirit of the July-August Revolution. He noted that the success of this revolution depends on transforming the nation, which has been soaked with the blood of martyrs, into a prosperous land. The meeting wa s presided over by civil aviation and tourism secretary Nasrin Jahan and attended by additional secretaries Saima Shaheen Sultana, Abdun Naser Khan, Fatema Rahim Veena, and Md Anisur Rahman, among others. Earlier, upon his arrival at the ministry, Arif was warmly welcomed with floral greetings by the officials.
