Dhaka:Seven more people have died from dengue, with an additional 1,596 new patients hospitalized across the country in the 24 hours ending at 800 am on Thursday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the latest fatalities have raised the nation's dengue death toll to 452 for this year, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS detailed that the recent deaths include three in Dhaka, three in Chattogram, and one in Khulna division. Since January 1, there have been 144,371 dengue patients admitted to hospitals nationwide, with 138,080 recovering from the illness.
Currently, there are 5,839 patients receiving treatment at various hospitals throughout the country.
