Prime Minister Tarique Rahman Vows to Counter Conspiracies Against National Industries

Khulna:Prime Minister Tarique Rahman announced today that the people will collectively respond to conspirators aiming to undermine the nation's industries, similar to their actions in 2024.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Prime Minister assured workers of a new minimum wage to be established within a month or two. Speaking at a roadside meeting at the Katakhali intersection on the Khulna-Mongla highway, he emphasized unity against those attempting to derail the government's plans for progress.

Tarique Rahman reiterated the commitment of his government to change the fate of the masses, while conspirators seek to disrupt these efforts. He called upon the people and workers to stand firm against such threats, emphasizing the need to build the country and prioritize Bangladesh's interests.

He further highlighted that previous administrations failed to improve living conditions, stripping people of voting rights and exporting wealth, leading to their ousting after the mass uprising on August 5, 2024. He warned that these forces continue to incite chaos from abroad, threatening the nation's mills and factories.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of preserving industrial assets, as their destruction would primarily harm workers and their families. He assured that the current administration is dedicated to solving national issues and promoting industrial and trade expansion for better living standards.

The Prime Minister also mentioned BNP's promises of job creation and industrial revival, emphasizing the current government's efforts to reopen shut-down factories and attract investment, particularly in regions like Khulna, Bagerhat, Kushtia, and Chuadanga.

Earlier, the Prime Minister attended a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between Invest Bangladesh and China Railway Construction Corporation and laid the foundation stone for the Mongla Port expansion. Following the meeting, he visited the mausoleum of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali in Bagerhat and planned to attend the Notun Kuri Sports opening at Khulna District Stadium.
