Dhaka:Six more individuals have lost their lives to dengue, with 1,866 new patients admitted to hospitals nationwide in the 24 hours leading up to 800 am on Wednesday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the total number of dengue-related deaths in the country has reached 445 this year, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The recent fatalities include four from the Dhaka division and two from the Khulna division.
Since the start of the year, hospitals across the country have admitted a total of 142,775 dengue patients. Of these, 136,394 patients have successfully recovered from the illness. Currently, 5,936 patients are receiving treatment in various hospitals throughout the country.
