Dhaka:Bangladeshi multidisciplinary artist Rashid Khan's solo art exhibition, 'River Script | Nodilipi,' is set to open at Dhaka Gallery in Banani on Thursday. The exhibition aims to transcend traditional depictions of rivers, instead exploring them as inner landscapes shaped by emotions and memories.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the exhibition will be inaugurated on November 5 at 3 pm at Dhaka Gallery, located at House 44, Road 12, Block E, Banani, and will run until November 15. It features paintings by Rashid Khan, with curatorial input and writings by Dhaka-based painter and art writer Javed Jalil (JJ).

The exhibition invites viewers to see rivers as intertwined with personal experiences and civilizational evolution. Rashid Khan's paintings present rivers in various forms, such as flowing waterways and reflections of riverside cultures. A series of evening events, including 'Nodi Kotha' (River Conversations) and 'Nodi Gaan' (River Songs), will accompany the exhibition. Additionally, a workshop titled 'Art in Everyday Life,' led by Javed Jalil, is scheduled for November 10 at 3 pm.

This exhibition marks the inaugural presentation under the initiative 'Our River Stories,' and it will be open to visitors daily from 3 pm to 8 pm. Rashid Khan, active in painting since 1993, has showcased his work internationally, while Javed Jalil's artwork has been featured in major exhibitions across Dhaka and Kolkata.
