Dhaka:Bangladesh Bank (BB) has appointed Dr. Md Rafiqul Islam and S M Abdul Hamid, FCA, as independent directors to the board of directors of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the appointments were made under Sections 45 and 47(3) of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
The central bank's Banking Regulation and Policy Department-2 communicated the decision to the managing director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank through a letter issued today.
