Dhaka:Additional Inspector General of Police Faruk Ahmed has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Special Response Battalion (SRB). He replaces Md. Ahsan Habib Palash, who has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Faruk Ahmed, who was previously serving as the Additional IGP of Highway Police, has taken on this new role as part of a significant reshuffle involving 13 senior police officials.
The Home Ministry issued the transfer notification today, stating that the order would take immediate effect.
