Dhaka:Traffic fines in Bangladesh can now be paid instantly and conveniently through the bKash app and at more than 350,000 bKash agent points across the country. This new service has been launched jointly by Community Bank and bKash to facilitate the payment of fines for all types of traffic cases filed by the Bangladesh Police.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the service allows customers to pay fines from anywhere in the country using the 'Pay Bill' option on the bKash app. Instant payment services are also available at nearby bKash agent points, enabling on-the-spot settlement of fines upon receiving a traffic fine slip.
The bKash app simplifies the payment process. Users can access the 'Traffic Fine' feature under the 'Government Fee' option, enter their case number, and confirm the transaction with their PIN. A confirmation SMS and in-app notification are sent upon successful payment, and a fee is applied. Customers can download a digital receipt to quickly retrieve any seized documents from law enforcement officers.
For those preferring to pay at agent points, providing the case ID and mobile number enables the agent to settle the fine, after which a digital receipt is issued. Detailed information on this service is available online.
