Faridpur:Two young men lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the elevated section of the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Monday evening.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased were identified as Ejajul, 20, son of Dulal Mia from the Hajrahati area under Nagarkanda municipality, and Swadhin, 20, son of Shahadat Sarkar from Jiakhuli area of the same upazila.
The injured individuals are Nasim, 20, son of Rahman Matubbar from Jiakhuli, and Rajon, 21, son of Shawkat from Bharaidanga area under Nagarkanda upazila.
The tragic incident occurred around 730 pm, resulting in the immediate deaths of Ejajul and Swadhin, while the two injured were promptly taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex for medical attention.
Officer-in-Charge Md Touhid Ahmed of Bhanga Highway Police Station confirmed that legal procedures are currently underway, and the bodies have been moved to the highway police station.
