Maheshkhali:Dhaka Gas supply across the country is set to decline and pressure may remain low for four days starting November 4 due to emergency maintenance work at the Summit LNG Terminal located in Maheshkhali, Cox's Bazar.
According to United News of Bangladesh, a press release from Petrobangla issued on Sunday stated that regasification operations at the terminal will be suspended from 800 am on November 4 until 400 pm on November 7, 2026, to facilitate the necessary maintenance work.
During this period, the daily gas supply to the national grid will fall by 320 million cubic feet, reducing from the current 920 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) to 600 mmcfd. This reduction is expected to result in low gas pressure for consumers across the country.
Petrobangla also noted that similar maintenance work was previously conducted in December 2025. The authorities have expressed sincere regret for any temporary inconvenience caused to consumers during this maintenance period.
