Sylhet:Dhaka The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the inclusion of Amite Hasan in the 15-member squad for the second and final Test against the West Indies. Amite replaces Mominul Haque, who sustained a head injury during the first Test.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mominul was injured on the third day of the first Test while attempting to take a catch at short leg. Jaker Ali Anik was brought in as his concussion substitute. The BCB has stated that players diagnosed with a concussion must observe a mandatory seven-day rest period before returning to play, necessitating Mominul's absence from the upcoming match.

The BCB confirmed the squad change in a press release, noting that the first Test concluded with an eight-wicket loss for Bangladesh. Jaker Ali has retained his place in the squad for the second Test, which is set to commence on November 5 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The squad is captained by Najmul Hossain Shanto, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz serving as vice captain.
